About

The Dubai International Superyacht Summit 2019

Following the very successful 2018 edition, FABULOUS YACHTS, as organisers, and P&O MARINAS, as patrons, joined forces to deliver the second edition of the Dubai International Superyacht Summit that took place on 27 and 28 February 2019.

The central theme of this summit remains to inform, advise and assist all interested parties, including local UAE authorities, on the best way forward in developing the UAE as a preferred superyacht winter destination.

Since the first edition, notable progress has been made. These successes were discussed during the second edition. The relevant authorities were quite candid in their acknowledgement of some of the continuing challenges and reiterated their willingness to work with all parties to smooth the waters for superyacht users.

Our intention is to continue building on past successes, and we are well pleased with the outcome of the Dubai International Superyacht Summit 2019.

Next Steps
Following the summit, and as a continuous effort to address the challenges and seize the opportunities ahead of us, we are in the process of creating an online platform under the DISS website with the purpose of continuing the debate and fruitful conversation between owners, captains and crews, marina developers, yachts operators and the relevant authorities. We will inform you promptly once the platform is active.
